Radon is found in all types of soil and in all types of homes, both new and old. It doesn’t matter how well sealed or insulated the home is; radon build up is a possibility.
How does Radon enter my home?
Radon enters your home through cracks in the floor, cracks in the foundation, cracks in the walls, gaps around pipes, cavities in walls, and through well water.

What are the risks of Radon?
When you breathe in Radon, it will become trapped in your lungs, where it will break down. As it breaks down, energy is released. This energy damages the tissue of the lungs and leads to lung cancer. Not everyone will develop lung cancer due to Radon, but the risks are extremely high. The risk depends on how much radon is in the home, the amount of time spent in the home, and whether or not you are a smoker.
